American Express seeks nearly $4,000 from credit card customers

NEW ORLEANS – American Express is suing credit card customers, alleging they owe nearly $4,000. 

American Express Bank FSB filed a lawsuit Feb. 8 against Erin M. Reho Pelias and Zuka Baby LLC in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging an open account.

According to the complaint, the bank issued a credit card account to the defendants and they agreed to make regular payments on the balance of the card. The suit states the defendants have failed to maintain the agreement and are still indebted to the plaintiff for $3,872.52, plus interest.

American Express Bank seeks all money owed, court costs and all appropriate relief. It is represented by attorneys Edward F. Bukaty III, Warren W. Wingerter Jr. and Alexander D. Bukaty of Edward F. Bukaty III, A Professional Law Corporation in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
