NEW ORLEANS – An Orleans Parish man is suing a motorist, alleging his reckless driving caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.
Leonard T. Roundtree filed a lawsuit Feb. 6 against State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company and Mona Johnson in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging reckless control of a motor vehicle.
According to the complaint, Roundtree was driving his vehicle Oct. 3, 2016, on Interstate Highway 10 East near the Louisa exit ramp. The suit says Johnson moved her vehicle into the right lane in which the plaintiff was driving. The resulting crash caused injuries to Roundtree, the lawsuit states.
Johnson is accused of reckless control of a motor vehicle, failing to see what should have been seen and failing to use the lanes properly.
Roundtree seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. He is represented by attorney James S. Rees IV of the Charbonnet Law Firm LLC in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
