NEW ORLEANS – A corporation is suing security contractors, alleging they failed to perform their duties.

Warwick Corporation filed a lawsuit Feb. 16 against Blackhawk Protection Service LLC and First Mercury Insurance Company in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging breach of contract

According to the complaint, Warwick and Blackhawk entered into an agreement, March 6, 2007, in which the defendant agreed to provide services, including providing security guards to the plaintiff's property at 1315 Gravier St., New Orleans. The suit states the defendants failed to perform as the agreement stated when on Dec. 19, 2009, the plaintiff's property was damaged after an apparent break-in.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract through failing to perform its portion of the agreement and failing to take the necessary actions to prevent such a break-in from occurring.

Warwick seeks trial by jury, all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief.  It is represented by attorney Jerald L. Album of Reich, Album & Plunkett LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates.
