By Carrie Bradon | Feb 22, 2017

NEW ORLEANS – A community college is suing a former student, alleging he owes more than $800.

The Louisiana Community and Technical College System, through Delgado Community College, filed a lawsuit Feb. 17 against Amman Elijah Singleton in Orleans Parish Civil District Court,  alleging an open account.

According to the complaint, the college allowed Singleton to attend its institution for the spring 2013 semester. The suit says Singleton accumulated a balance owed of $857.80, and has failed to pay it back.

Delgado Community College seeks all money owed, court costs and all appropriate relief. It is represented by attorney Wendy Ranmarine of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
