Community college alleges student owes more than $2,400

NEW ORLEANS – A community college is suing a former student, alleging she owes more than $2,400. 

Louisiana Community and Technical College system, through Delgado Community College, filed a lawsuit Feb. 22 against Latoya Marie Hollins in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging an open account.

According to the complaint, the college allowed Hollins defendant to attend for the fall 2013 semester. The suit says she accumulated a balance $2,423.25 and has failed to pay off the balance.

Delgado Community College seeks all money owed and court costs. It is represented by attorney Rokeya J. Morris of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
