Community college alleges student owes more than $1,000

GRETNA – A community college is suing a student, alleging he owes more than $1,000.

The Louisiana Community and Technical College system, through Nunez Community College, filed a suit Feb. 27 against Scott O. Fredricks in the 24th Judicial District Court,  alleging an open account.

According to the claim, the college allowed Fredricks to attend its institution for the fall 2002 semester, during which time he accumulated a balance owed of $1,159. The suit states he has failed to pay off the balance.

Nunez Community College seeks all sums due, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by assistant state attorney general Rokeya J. Morris of the Louisiana Department of Justice, Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee V. Faulkner Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 769521.
