Customer blames Lowe's for injuries

NEW ORLEANS – An Orleans Parish man is suing Lowe's, alleging the store's negligence caused injuries to the plaintiff.

Aaron Joseph filed a lawsuit Feb. 23 against Lowe's Home Center LLC, Kevin, Troy and store manager Emanuel Fitch in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on March 28, 2016, Joseph was shopping at the Lowe's at 2501 Elysian Fields Ave., New Orleans. The suit states he fell on shrink wrap that had been left on the ground, leading to personal and bodily injuries.

The defendants are accused of negligently failing to clean up the store, failing to warn of the danger and overall negligence in their actions.

Joseph seeks damages of more than $50,000, legal interest, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. He is represented by attorney Richard J. Fernandez of the Law Office of Richard J. Fernandez LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
