GRETNA – A bank is suing promissory note customers, alleging they owe more than $100,000.
U.S. Bank National Association filed a suit March 7 against Michelle Kristen Ates and Craig Joseph Ates in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging sums due in failing to pay in a timely manner.
According to the claim, U.S. Bank is the holder of a promissory note for the balance of $104,000. The suit states the defendants have failed to pay off the balance of the note and have remained indebted for $101,159.02, plus interest and fees.
U.S. Bank seeks all sums due, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by attorney Jason R. Smith of Dean Morris LLC in Monroe.
The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.
