NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Redevelopment Authority is seeking damages over what it says is a breach of contract.
The Authority filed a lawsuit March 6 against Lester Dell, a Mississippi resident, and the city of New Orleans in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging the breach of contract.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff entered into an act of cash sale with the defendant on Feb. 10, 2012, for the property at 3921 Mistletoe St. in New Orleans. The defendant has failed to pay off the property as agreed upon initially and has failed to maintain it in a good condition.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract through failing to pay off the property or maintain it.
The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Victoria Hines in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin Giarrusso.
