New Orleans man sued over mortgage debt

NEW ORLEANS – A loan company is seeking payment of an overdue mortgage loan from a New Orleans resident.

Lakeview Loan Servicing LLC filed a lawsuit Feb. 21 against Jerome Gerard Waddell in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is the holder of a promissory note for a mortgage in the amount of $147,076.88. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance owed and is currently indebted to the plaintiff for the balance of $147,076.88 plus interest.

The plaintiff is asking for all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Jason R. Smith of Dean Morris LLC in Monroe.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel Julien.
