Wells Fargo alleges customers owe more than $270,000

NEW ORLEANS – Wells Fargo Bank is suing a couple, alleging they owe more than $270,000 on a promissory note.

Wells Fargo Bank NA filed a lawsuit Feb. 17 against Michael D. Middleton, also known as Michel Middleton, and Lynn Powers Middleton, also known as Lynn P. Middleton, also known as Lynn Middleton, in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, Wells Fargo is the holder of a promissory note for the balance of $290,500. The suit states the Middletons were obligated to pay off the balance of the note in monthly installments but have failed to do so. The defendants, the lawsuit states, are indebted to the plaintiff for the balance of $273,326.13, plus interest and sums due.

Wells Fargo Bank seeks all money owed, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. It is represented by attorney Corey J. Giroir of The Law Offices of Herschel C. Adcock Jr., in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Melvin Zeno.
