GRETNA – A mortgage company is suing a couple, alleging they owe nearly $170,000 on a promissory note.
Standard Mortgage Corporation filed a suit March 8 against Lori Moore Granger, also known as Lori Chantelle Moore, wife of/and Eldrich J. Granger Jr., in 24th Judicial District Court, alleging sums due in failing to pay off a note.
According to the claim, Standard Mortgage is the holder of a promissory note for the balance of $177,791. The suit states the defendants have failed to pay off the balance of the note and are still indebted to the plaintiff for $166,251.62, plus interest.
Standard Mortgage seeks all sums due, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by attorney Stacy C. Wheat of Graham, Arceneaux & Allen LLC in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
