Discover Bank sues over open account

GRETNA – Discover Bank is seeking damages from an open account.

Discover Bank filed a suit March 6 against Gerald R. Barr Sr. in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging it's owed payment on a credit card account.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued the defendant a credit card. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay off the balance of the credit card and still owes $2,277.58.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jeffrey M. Toepfer of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
