Lender accuses Gretna man of failing to pay amount charged to bank card

GRETNA – A funding company is seeking damages after a customer allegedly failed to pay off an account.

LVNV Funding LLC filed a suit March 23 against Michael Malveaux of Gretna in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging sums due.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued a bankcard to the defendant which was then used to make charges of $1,008.51. The defendant has failed to pay back the balance accumulated on the card.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by April F. Jackson of Eaton Group Attorneys LLC in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Scott U. Schlegel

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 770311.
