Orleans Parish woman seeks damages, claiming she fell outside of a Chase Bank

NEW ORLEANS – A woman is seeking damages, claiming that she was caused to trip and fall on some mash that was left outside.

Carmen Parker Orleans Parish filed a lawsuit against Chase Commercial Corp., CBRE Inc., The Zurich Service Corp. and ABC Co. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on May 25, 2016, the plaintiff was at the Chase Bank at 1425 N. Broad Ave., New Orleans, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to trip on mesh netting that had been left in outside. The plaintiff fell and hit the front of a car that was parked on the street and sustained injuries to her shoulder, back and neck.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to maintain the property, failing to warn of the danger and overall negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney R. Christopher Harrison of Jack & Harrison LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Melvin Zeno.
