GRETNA — Discover Bank is seeking damages from a consumer for an open credit card account.
Discover Bank filed a suit April 4 against Maritza Sanchez of Jefferson Parish in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging sums due on a loan.
According to the claim, the plaintiff issued a credit card to the defendant. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay the plaintiff what is owed, totaling $44,541.87.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jason B. Patrick and Laura T. D. Sims of Rausch, Sturm, Israel, Enerson & Hornik LLC of Enterprise, Alabama.
The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Michael P. Mentz.
