American Express seeking over $37,000 from Orleans Parish man

NEW ORLEANS – American Express Bank, FSB is seeking over $35,000.

American Express filed a lawsuit April 5 against Phillip Boswell of Orleans Parish in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging an open account.

According to the complaint, The plaintiff issued a credit card to the defendant, but the defendant failed to pay off the balance. The plaintiff is seeking $37,855.72 plus costs and interest.

The defendant is accused of open account against the plaintiff.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorneys Jeffrey M. Toepfer of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
