Northwestern State alleges student failed to pay for courses

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking damages for an open account.

University of Louisiana system board of supervisors through Northwestern State University filed a lawsuit against Angela D. Mance in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging an open account.

According to the complaint, the defendant is indebted to the plaintiff for the balance of $1,650.35, which was accumulated during the defendant's attendance of spring 2010 courses.

The defendant is accused of open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Meghan N. Beal of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
