Man claims owner of home failed to warn of water accumulation

NEW ORLEANS – A man is seeking damages for a slip and fall in his home.

Kenneth Robinson filed a lawsuit against Triple Crown Investments LLC and Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was caused to slip and fall in April 2, 2016, when he stepped in a puddle of water. The suit states that the defendant was responsible for ensuring that there was not a leak at the property and failed to fulfill its duties, resulting in the plaintiff's injury.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to ensure that such in incident did not happen and failing to warn of the danger.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Harry E. Forst in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
