New Orleans law firm seeks damages from Smash Pictures for breach of contract, open account

NEW ORLEANS – A law firm is seeking damages for an open account.

Sher Garner Cahill Richter Klein & Hilbert LLC filed a lawsuit March 30 against Smash Pictures Inc. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract and open account.

According to the complaint, the defendant contracted the plaintiff to deliver legal services beginning in August 2009. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay the plaintiff for the services provided and owes $29,074.39. Despite attempts at collecting sums, the plaintiff has yet to be paid.

The defendant is accused of open account and breach of contract.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorneys James M. Garner and Brandon W. Keay of Sher Garner Cahill Richter Klein & Hilbert LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
