Orleans Parish woman claims Access Home Insurance failed to make repairs to house after storm

NEW ORLEANS – An Orleans Parish woman claims that her insurance company failed to make repairs after a storm damaged her home.

Lillian Benitez filed a lawsuit April 12 against Access Home Insurance Co. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff owns the residence at 927-929-931 Bourbon St., New Orleans. The suit states that a storm damaged the home on April 27, 2015. Despite contacting the insurance company about the damages, the plaintiff's requested repairs were never completed.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney John I. Hulse IV of Conroy Law Firm PLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
