GRETNA – A woman claims that she was caused to trip and fall on the way to her doctor's office.
Beabe Campbell filed a suit April 24 against West Jefferson Holdings LLC and XYZ Insurance Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.
According to the claim, the plaintiff was a patient at the defendant's property at 1101 Medical Center Blvd., Marrero, on April 16, 2016. The suit states that the plaintiff was on her way to the building when she tripped on a piece of concrete that blocked her way in the parking garage.
The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to ensure that the parking garage was safe for use, failing to warn of the danger and negligence of management.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. She is represented by Michael S. Brandner Jr., and Scot P. Koloski of the Brandner Law Firm LLC in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division K Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach.
