Orleans Parish man claims La Belle Galerie owes $15,000 for sale of photographs

NEW ORLEANS – An Orleans Parish man claims that he was never paid for his portion of a business agreement.

Luke Fontana filed a lawsuit April 17 against Bernadette Gildspinel and La Belle Galerie Inc. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff delivered 73 silver gelatin photographs with the understanding that if they were sold at the defendant's property, the plaintiff would receive 50 percent of the profits. The suit states that the defendant has failed to follow the agreement and is indebted to the plaintiff for approximately $15,000.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by himself.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
