Woodrow Wilson Construction allegedly failed to pay full amount for completed work

NEW ORLEANS – A company is seeking damages, claiming it was never paid for work it completed.

F. L. Crane & Sons Inc. filed a lawsuit April 27 against Woodrow Wilson Construction LLC and Western Surety Co. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the defendant was contracted to perform work for the Orleans Parish School Board. The plaintiff was subcontracted by the defendant but then failed to provide the plaintiff with full payment for the work completed. The plaintiff is still owed the balance of $148,882.35 plus interest.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Jeffrey K. Riksheim of Shields Mott LLP in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
