Capital One seeking damages from Jefferson Parish resident for an open account

GRETNA – Capital One is seeking damages for an open account of more than $2,000.

Capital One Bank (USA) N.A. filed a suit May 10 against Melisa A. Gransberry of Jefferson Parish in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging open account.

According to the claim, the plaintiff issued a credit card to the defendant. The suit states that the defendant failed to pay off the balance of $2,187.34.

The defendant is accused of an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jeffrey M. Toepfer of Couch, Conville & Blitt LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.

The 24th Judicial District Court Case number 771968.
