Jefferson Parish residents allegedly owe over $200,000 on unpaid mortgage

GRETNA – A bank is seeking damages on an unpaid account.

U.S. Bank National Association filed a suit May 4 against Gene P. Diaz, also known as Gene Diaz, and Candice Marie Diaz, also known as Candice M. Diaz and Candice Diaz, in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging sums due on a mortgage.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for sums due on a mortgage. The suit states that the plaintiff is owed $200,630.71.

The defendants, who are residents of Jefferson Parish, are accused of sums due on the mortgage.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Corey J. Giroir of The Law Offices of Herschel C. Adcock Jr. in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
