Orleans Parish residents allegedly defaulted on mortgage

NEW ORLEANS – Orleans Parish residents are being sued for an unpaid mortgage.

Mary Hotard Becnel and Bradley D. Becnel filed a lawsuit against Camilo K. Salas III and Jennifer A. Fallon Salas in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging suit on a mortgage note.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs are seeking payment for a mortgage note that was issued to the defendants. After being issued a note for the balance of $504,020.90, the defendants have defaulted on payments and are indebted for the amount of $468,313.34, the suit states.

The defendant is accused of failing to pay the plaintiff what was owed.

The plaintiffs seek all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiffs are represented by attorney Kevin P. Kilbert of Becnel Law Firm LLC in LaPlace.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Kern A. Reese.
