Woman alleges she was injured when ceiling of New Orleans property fell on her

NEW ORLEANS – A woman is seeking damages after a ceiling fell on her.

Sara Miller filed a lawsuit May 25 against Hanover American Insurance Co., Dat Dog Enterprises LLC, doing business as Dat Dog Nola Lakeside LLC, certain underwriters of Lloyd's of London and West Plumbing LLC in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was at 601 Frenchman St., New Orleans, when the incident occurred on May 29, 2016. The suit states that the plaintiff was injured when the ceiling fell on her.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to maintain the property, failing to warn of danger and overall negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief and is represented by attorneys Brian King, Jason F. Giles and Anthony J. Milazzo of The King Firm LLC in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Cherrell S. Taplin.
