NEW ORLEANS – A Jefferson Parish woman claims that a contractor failed to complete a job well, causing her damages.
Julienne Van Vliet filed a lawsuit May 16 against Dean Walters, Dean's Air-Condition & Heating LLC and ABC Insurance Co. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging breach of contract.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages claiming that she suffered damages following Aug. 10, 2015, when she contracted the defendant for plumbing, electrical and gas-line work on her property, but it was not completed correctly. The suit states that the plaintiff was forced to hire a second contractor to complete the job.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract.
The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Thomas McEachin of Schonekas, Evans, McGoey & McEachin LLC in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
