Northwestern State seeking damages from Orleans Parish resident for open account

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking damages for an open account.

University of Louisiana system board of supervisors through Northwestern State University filed a lawsuit May 30 against Jaheem A. Green of Orleans Parish in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an open account of the balance of $1,249. The suit states that the defendant has failed to pay the balance owed.

The defendant is accused of sums due.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Rokeya J. Morris of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
