Man seeking damages for alleged slip and fall in Save-A-Lot

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish man claims that he was caused to slip and fall in a Save-A-Lot.

Kenneth Perkins filed a suit May 31 against Save-A-Lot and/or East Baton Rouge Save-A-Lot LLC, doing business as Save-A-Lot, in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place Aug. 3, 2016. The suit states that the plaintiff was at the Save-A-Lot at 6525 Airline Highway, Metairie, when he was caused to slip and fall in a substance that had been left on the ground.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to clean up the mess, failing to warn of the danger and overall negligence of management.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by John D. Sileo in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge E. Adrian Adams.
