GRETNA – A school is seeking damages for unpaid tuition.

St. Martin's Episcopal School filed a suit June 9 against Malena Lepetich and Jason Milam of Plaquemines Parish in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging open account and breach of contract.

According to the claim, the defendants enrolled their son in the plaintiff's institution. The suit states that the defendants failed to pay a balance of $18,900.86, and the school claims the son acted in a way that was "inconsistent with the mission at St. Martin's".

The defendant is accused of breach of contract and having an open account.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Mandie Landry of Schonekas, Evans, McGoey & McEachin LLC in New Orleans.
