Jefferson Parish man claims his tow truck was hit by a negligent driver

GRETNA – A man is seeking damages, claiming that his tow truck was hit by another truck.

Christopher J. Farbe of Jefferson Parish filed a suit June 15 against James Lewis, Martin Transport Inc. and Texas Insurance Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was at the Goodyear Tire Store at 6229 Jefferson Highway in Harahan on June 24, 2016, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was the driver of a 2015 Hino flatbed tow truck and the truck was parked when it was hit by a 2014 Mack truck that was driven by Martin.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to see what was in his way, failing to keep a proper lookout and overall negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Patrick Hufft of Hufft & Hufft APLC.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.
