Woman claims she was injured in slip and fall at Tulane University Hospital

NEW ORLEANS – A woman is seeking damages for a slip and fall.

Nora Martini filed a lawsuit June 12 against University Healthcare System LC, doing business as Tulane University Hospital and Clinic, in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was at the defendant's property July 22, 2016, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff slipped and fell in standing water that had been left on the ground without a warning.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to clean up the mess, failing to warn of danger and overall negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorneys Alicia M. Bendana, Mark S. Goldstein of Lowe, Stein, Hoffman, Allweiss & Hauver LLP in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Christopher J. Bruno.
