St. Charles Parish man claims he was injured when second-floor railing broke

NEW ORLEANS – A St. Charles Parish man claims that he was injured when a railing broke.

Brian F. Fahrig filed a lawsuit June 13 against Maison St. Charles LLC and XYZ Insurance Co. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was employed as an A/C repairman in New Orleans on June 15, 2016, when the incident occurred. The suit states that the plaintiff was severely injured when he placed his arms on the second-floor balcony rail that broke. The plaintiff was caused to fall to the ground and was hurt.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to ensure that the property was in safe and working order and that the plaintiff was aware of any potential danger.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Benjamin W. Gulick of the Law Offices of Gregory P. Dileo in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Nakisha Ervin-Knott.
