Metairie contractor claims customer owes nearly $50,000 for new roof

GRETNA – A Metairie company is seeking damages, claiming that it is owed nearly $50,000 for work completed.

Green Country Restoration LLC filed a suit against The Apostolic Church at New Orleans in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging breach of contract and open account.

According to the claim, the defendant entered into a contract on April 6 in which they contracted the plaintiff to replace the roof at their property at 11700 Chef Menteur Highway, New Orleans. The plaintiff provided the materials and labor, but the defendant allegedly has failed to pay the full amount. The suit states that the defendant is still indebted to the plaintiff for the balance of $49,305.95.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract and failing to pay for services completed.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Edward J. Koehl Jr. of Jones Walker LLP in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee V. Faulkner Jr.
