Northwestern State claims former student owes over $2,000

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking payment of an open account.

University of Louisiana system board of supervisors through Northwestern State University filed a lawsuit against Jaleesa Hannah Bean in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging sums due.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking payment of an open account for the balance of $2,708.81 plus interest.

The defendant is accused of having an open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Scott L. Smith Jr. of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.
