Man claims he slipped and fell due to wet floor at Avondale Wendy's

GRETNA – A man claims that he slipped and fell in water at a Wendy's.

Eugene Beckwith filed a suit against Wendy's of Avondale Ltd. and The Wendy's Co. in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff was at a Wendy's at 3000 US 90 in Avondale on Sept. 9, 2016. The suit states that the plaintiff slipped and fell on a wet floor that an employee was mopping, and he claims there was no sign warning of the danger.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to warn of the danger and failing to clean up the mess.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Robert J. Caluda of The Caluda Law Firm in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn B. Ansardi.
