Orleans Parish woman claims she fell at Payless due to uneven walkway

GRETNA – An Orleans Parish woman is seeking damages for a trip and fall at a Payless shoe store.

Rayanne Goldstein filed a suit against Gordon-Karen Properties LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place April 2, 2016. The suit states that the plaintiff was at the Payless ShoeSource store on 3141 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Metairie when she tripped and fell over an uneven concrete walkway.

The defendant is accused of negligence by failing to warn of the danger, failing to prevent the incident and overall negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Jim S. Hall of Jim S. Hall & Associates LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division L Judge Donald A. Rowan Jr.
