University of New Orleans seeks more than $5,000 from former student

NEW ORLEANS – A university is seeking damages on an open account.

University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors through the University of New Orleans filed a lawsuit against Maximilian O. Kappele in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging an open account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking payment of $5,027 plus interest for the fall 2015 semester.

The defendant is accused of having an open account.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Amy D. Richard of the Louisiana Department of Justice in Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robin M. Giarrusso.
