NEW ORLEANS – A renter claims that defective stairs at her home resulted in an injury when she slipped and fell.
Rehinde Lawrence filed a lawsuit on Oct. 19 against Bryant Carey and Nicole Carey in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Oct. 19, 2016. The suit states that the plaintiff was renting the property of 4710 Wilson Ave. in Orleans Parish when she allegedly slipped and fell on defective outdoor stairs.
The defendants are accused of negligence.
The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Ryan J. Hughes in New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Cherrell S. Taplin.
