Ace Hotel accused of negligence over broken chair

NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that a chair in a local hotel broke, causing her to fall and break her hip. 

Helen P. Horan filed a lawsuit October 12 against Ace Hotel New Orleans LLC in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took pace on Sept. 10 at the Ace Hotel New Orleans, 600 Carondelet St. The suit states that the plaintiff was caused to fall off a defective chair in her hotel room.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Kevin C. Schoenberger of the Law Office of Kevin C. Schoenberger.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
