Jefferson Parish couple allegedly owes more than $20,000 on Chevy

GRETNA – A credit company is seeking sums due on a past due car loan held by a Jefferson Parish couple.

Credit Acceptance Corporation filed a suit on Nov. 7 against Luis O. Escobar and Nora L. Avila in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging sums due.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages on an open account in the balance of $20,668.24 plus interest on a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado. The suit states that the defendant had promised to pay off the full price and failed to.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Alexander D. Bukaty of Edward F. Bukaty III in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
