Target truck driver accused of negligence in crash

GRETNA — A woman claims that she was injured when the driver of a semi-truck hit the vehicle she was riding in.

Shevaria Webb-Green filed a suit on Nov. 20, 2017 against Target Corporation, US Express Leasing, Mountain Lane Risk Retention and Marcus Flores in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Nov. 26, 2016. The plaintiff was a passenger in a car when the defendant who was driving a Freightliner truck struck the car that the plaintiff was a passenger in.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to keep a lookout and overall recklessness.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Morgan E. Levy of McGlynn, Glisson & Mouton, Baton Rouge.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darensburg.
