Man allegedly hurt in fall down Harrah's escalator

NEW ORLEANS – A man allegedly was injured falling down an escalator in a casino.

Michael Conway and Sandra Conway filed a lawsuit on Nov. 13 against Jazz Casino Company LLC, d/b/a Harrah's New Orleans Casino, in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Nov. 10, 2016. The suit states that the plaintiff was leaving the casino when he fell down the escalator. He was bleeding profusely when he landed at the bottom of the escalator.

The defendant is accused of negligence through failing to warn of the danger, possessing a dangerous situation and overall negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Zachary R. Christiansen of The Bowling Law Firm in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.
