Technip allegedly owes surgical center for worker's procedures

GRETNA — A Metairie surgical center is seeking sums due from a patient's employer. 

Crescent City Surgical Centre Operating Company LLC filed a suit on Oct. 4 against Technip USA Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging breach of contract.

According to the claim, Bradley G. Woodel had medical procedures performed at the center on June 6, 2016, Dec. 6, 2016 and Dec. 7, 2017 following an injury while at work. His employer, Technip USA, allegedly has not paid the balance of 90 percent of $75,711.20 plus interest as required under workers' compensation rules.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Adam M. Stumpf of Chehardy, Sherman, Williams, Murray, Recile, Stakelum & Hayes LLP in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge E. Adrian Adams.
