NEW ORLEANS – A woman alleges she was caused to slip on a strawberry and fall in a local Walmart.
Teenya Scott filed a lawsuit on Sept. 12 against Walmart Stores Inc. and Walmart Louisiana LLC in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Sept. 14, 2016. The suit states that the plaintiff was in the Walmart at 1901 Tchoupitoulas St. in New Orleans when she slipped on a strawberry and fell.
The defendant is accused of negligence.
The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Michael S. Brandner Jr. of Brandner Law Firm LLC in Metairie.
The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates IV.
