Allstate sues Liberty Bell Cab driver

GRETNA –An insurance company claims that its client's car was damaged by a cab.

Allstate Property and Casualty Insurance Company as subrogee of Heidi Hope filed a suit on Sept. 5 against Ernst Jean-Baptiste, Liberty Bell Cab LLC, Atlas Financial Holdings, ABC Corporation and XYZ Insurance Company in the 24th Judicial District Court alleging negligence.

According to the claim, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Sept. 11, 2016 when Hope's car was being driven by a relative. The suit states that the car was struck by the defendant who was driving for his job with Liberty Bell Cab.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Meri M. Hartley from the Law Offices of Harold G. Toscano in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division O Judge Danyelle M. Taylor.
