Woman claims she was attacked at Krazy Korner bar

NEW ORLEANS – A woman claims that she was attacked in a Bourbon Street bar.

Emily Syverth filed a lawsuit on Dec. 15 against Jane Doe, Krazy Korner, Krazy Corner Inc, Karno Companies Inc., et al. in Orleans Parish Civil District Court alleging assault.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place on Dec. 18, 2016. The suit states that the plaintiff was at the Krazy Korner bar at 640 Bourbon St. in New Orleans when the defendant, Doe, struck the plaintiff for no apparent reason and without warning. Doe is believed to be a shot girl at the establishment.

The defendants are accused of assault against the plaintiff, failure to provide medical care, failure to provide a reasonably safe environment, failure to prevent injury and failure to warn. 

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney David L. Courcelle of the Law Office of David L. Courcelle LLC in Metairie.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Clare Jupiter.
