Lawsuit alleges injury in workplace incident

NEW ORLEANS – A couple is seeking damages for a workplace injury sustained by the husband.

Broderick and Jocelyn Waters filed a lawsuit Dec. 27 against Lowe's Home Center LLC, doing business as Lowe's in Orleans Parish Civil District Court, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was at work on July 10, 2017 when he was injured due to a cart that he was balanced upon slipping, causing the plaintiff to fall on the concrete.

The defendant is accused of negligence.

The plaintiff seeks all reasonable damages, court costs, attorney fees and all appropriate relief. The plaintiff is represented by attorney David A Bowling of The Bowling Law Firm in New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Piper Griffin.

The Orleans Parish Civil District Court Case No. is 2017-12383.
